WTLC's 40-hour Domestic Violence Certification Training
The Women's Transitional Living Center (WTLC) is a shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children. We are proud of our organization and hope that you will want to become one of our volunteers. To volunteer, intern, or work in a shelter for victims of domestic violence, a 40-hour training course is required by the State of California. TO BE CERTIFIED, ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED AT ALL 40 HOURS. To make this 40-hour training worthwhile to the trainers and trainees, WTLC is offering the training to any person who is interested in becoming a WTLC volunteer or who is interested in receiving certification.
There is a nonrefundable $200.00 fee for non-volunteers for the training and a 80.00 non-refundable fee for all volunteers and interns. The fee covers materials, training, and entitles you to WTLC membership.
Pre-registration is required because (1) there is a limited number of spaces and (2) the extensive training manuals need to be prepared in advance. If your check is received after the limit has been reached, you may either (1) guarantee your place at the next training and become a WTLC member or (2) include a self-addressed envelope to have your check returned.
