SUMMARY
Responsible for providing counseling services to victims of violence.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)
- Plan and facilitate educational/support groups
- Provide individual and family counseling
- Document services
- Maintain statistical reporting
- Participate in the development and implementation of clinical procedures and research
- Report suspected child abuse
- Work on special projects on an as-needed basis

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Enrolled in, or graduation from, a Master’s program in counseling
or psychology - Previous counseling experience preferred, but not required
- Experience in, or knowledge of, crisis intervention and the therapeutic issues of supportive counseling
- Experience with DV/human trafficking victims preferred, but not required
- Has not been a resident of WTLC or any other domestic violence shelter for three years
- 40-hour domestic violence training certification
- Bilingual in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean or Russian a plus
ADA REQUIREMENTS
- Regularly required to sit and use hands to fingers
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects
- Intact vision abilities required
OFFICE HOURS
- 9a.m.- 6p.m. (needs to be flexible with schedule)
